Yields1 Serving
Prep Time5 minsCook Time20 minsTotal Time25 mins
1 Package Pillsbury Grands or similar biscuits, 8 count
½ lb Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sausage, regular flavor (or hot if you prefer)
 ¾ cup Flour
 2 tsp Salt
 ½ tsp Black Pepper
 6 cups Milk
1

Preheat oven to 350° degrees

2

Brown the sausage in a 2qt sized pot or sauce pan. While it's browning, mix the flour, salt, pepper and milk together with a whisk in a large bowl.

3

The oven should be hot enough by now to bake the biscuits. Add the biscuits and cook them per the package directions until they're golden brown. Typically around 15-16 minutes.

4

When the sausage is cooked through, add the milk mixture to the pan. **IMPORTANT - Don't remove the sausage grease from the pan!

5

Constantly stir the gravy mixture, scrapping the bottom of the pan to prevent the flour from the mixture from sticking to the bottom. Cook until it becomes bubbly and/or thickens.

6

Serve immediately with the biscuits and enjoy!

Gerald's Tip!
7

Serve with eggs, hash browns, orange juice and coffee for a completely filling, wonderful breakfast!
