Welcome to Gerald’s Kitchen. I’m a single father of 2 teenagers, currently living in Round Rock, Texas.
My passion for cooking great-tasting food began when I was around 12 years old living in New Mexico. At that time I’d make things like popcorn (my all time favorite snack), pizza and numerous other dishes. After moving to San Jose, California, I would make salsa and take it to company parties. One day, a lady said I should sell it, so I did! I began a salsa company called Don Geraldo Foods where I grew from zero to fifty stores in less than 10 months and won a couple of national awards! Unfortunately I had to shutter that business in 2004 due to a national shortage on tomatoes due to a couple of hurricanes…
I still love cooking, and for years I’ve people have raved about how good my cooking is and asking me for various recipes. I finally decided that maybe I should start a blog or something (that was really somebody else’s idea, but I digress…), so I started this recipe blog. I want to show people that it’s not difficult or time consuming to make delicious meals so they don’t have to eat frozen foods or take out every night.
If you’re looking for recipe ideas, want to know what products I use in the kitchen, or want some time (or money!) savers, feel free to contact me and I’ll be sure to get back with you!
In addition, if you love live music like I do, you should definitely check out Music Firsthand.
